Hebrew Translation Services

Hebrew language is one of the world's oldest languages, spoken and written today in much the same way as it was more than two thousand years ago. Hebrew is a Semitic language of the Afro-Asiatic language family with strong roots in both Chaldea, the language of Chaldea and Biblical Aramaic. Modern Hebrew is spoken by more than seven million people in Israel and used for prayer or study in Jewish communities around the world. It is the official language of Israel, though English and Arabic are also used there.

More info about Hebrew:

The modern word "Hebrew" is derived from the word "ivory" which in turn may be based upon the root "`avar" (עבר) meaning "to cross over". The related name ever occurs in Genesis 10:21 and possibly means "the one who traverses".

For over three millennia Hebrew has been the religious, and often the literary and secular, language of the Jewish people. In the post biblical period Hebrew gradually gave way to Aramaic as the spoken language, but continued throughout the centuries to serve as the language of ritual, prayer, literature, and written communication.
The Hebrew alphabet of twenty-two letters (five of which have a different form when they appear at the end of a word) consists entirely of consonants. The language is written from right to left without vowels.

English words of Hebrew origin include amen, hallelujah, Sabbath, rabbi, cherub, seraph, Satan, kosher, manna, shibboleth, and behemoth. More recent contributions are kibbutz and sacra.

Hebrew is spoken/used in the following countries:

Gaza Strip, Israel, United States of America, West Bank.

Full range of Hebrew services are provided, performed in Israel and reviewed in the United States by Hebrew professionals. Voices are recorded in Tel-Aviv for multimedia, videos, and television and training materials. Handling Hebrew for the first time poses some difficulties as it is not only a different "font" but is a language that reads from right to left ("backwards" from Latin based languages). Thus, the first Hebrew experience does involve preparing the client computers for this new approach. Or, @International Services can provide all documents as PDF, or artwork as bitmap files to avoid preparing the client's machine for Hebrew compatibility. On the other hand, web work is less complicated, and once the browser has been properly set to Hebrew, a web site will appear in good Hebrew for viewers properly equipped for the language.
